This summer it is the front door to a concert amphitheater, a farmhouse-styled retail block that is finally filling its second-generation spaces, and a Cars & Coffee that pulls in from as far as Chino Hills.
The thesis is simple. South Corona's weekend economy has quietly reorganized around one freeway exit. If you already live in Eagle Glen, Sycamore Creek, Terramor, or Trilogy, the pattern is worth reading closely, because it changes what a Friday night or a Sunday morning can look like without ever crossing the county line.
The exit is doing new work
Dos Lagos was designed as a lifestyle center around two artificial lakes. For years the retail did the heavy lifting and the amphitheater was a quiet asset. That balance has flipped. The venue at 2755 Lakeshore Drive is now the reason most non-residents come, and its Rockin' Summer Concert Series has become one of the top attended events in the community. The tenant mix at the surrounding Shops at Dos Lagos still runs the way it always has, a blend of chain restaurants and locally owned businesses that share sidewalk with the box office.
A mile south, Bedford Marketplace has spent the last stretch turning from a leasing brochure into an actual place. The center sits on I-15 frontage at the Cajalco Road and Eagle Glen off-ramp with an American Farmhouse design theme, and it was planned to draw on both the Eagle Glen Golf Club traffic and the Bedford master-planned housing behind it. What matters for a resident right now is that the announced pipeline is finally hitting the ground.
August at the amphitheater, weekend by weekend
The concert calendar is the easiest way to read the month. Four weekends, four different reasons a neighbor's driveway might be empty at 6 p.m.
- Saturday, August 1: Back in Black, the AC/DC tribute, at Dos Lagos Amphitheater with a 6:00 p.m. start. The morning of the same day pairs with Cars & Coffee Corona at 2780 Cabot Drive from 7:00 a.m., which means the parking lot works twice in one day.

Read as a whole, the calendar tells you something the Dos Lagos marketing page does not. The amphitheater is programming tribute acts on the shoulder weekends and putting the headliners in the middle of the month. That is the same booking logic a large festival uses. It also means the two easiest weekends to grab a table at Reunion Kitchen or a walk-up seat at CISCo without a wait are the first and last Saturdays.
Bedford Marketplace, half-built and useful
The most concrete change at Bedford Marketplace this year is a breakfast address that did not exist last summer. Keke's Breakfast Cafe opened its first Los Angeles-market location in Corona on December 18, 2025, at 3915 Bedford Canyon Road, with daily hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. For anyone who has been driving up to Chino Hills or east to Riverside for a mid-morning table, the math changed in one weekend.
Two more tenants are lined up behind it. Luna Grill, the Mediterranean fast-casual chain, confirmed a Corona location at 3915 Bedford Canyon Road, Suite 103, in Bedford Marketplace, a 1,700-square-foot new-build under construction, with an aim to open in February 2026. The same block is set to add Keke's Cafe and Ike's Love and Sandwiches, both incoming and expected to debut soon per leasing records. The Ike's arrival is worth flagging because the closest existing location has been an OC trip, not a South Corona errand.
What this actually does for a resident is compress a category that used to require a freeway decision. Weekday breakfast, weekend brunch, and a fast Mediterranean lunch now sit inside the same parking field as an incoming grocery anchor, on a walkable site that was designed to integrate with biking and walking trails starting from the Eagle Glen golf course and running through outdoor patios and walking paths inside the center. The tenant list is not finished. That is the point. Half-built is when a shopping center is most useful to the people who live near it, because the parking is still easy.
The anchors that predate all of this
The new activity is more legible if you remember what was already there. Skull Canyon Ziplines sits just off the I-15 Freeway at the Indian Truck Trail exit on 160 acres of mountainous terrain, with two separate zipline eco courses, which is the same exit most Trilogy residents use to leave the neighborhood. Glen Ivy Hot Springs at the base of the Santa Ana Mountains offers access to 19 mineral pools along with Club Mud, Roman Baths, hot and cold plunge pools, sauna and steam rooms, and remains the default answer for out-of-town guests in August because the pools are usable when the asphalt is not.
Tom's Farms holds the family-Sunday slot with an old-time carousel, an authentic reproduction of an 1800s steam-propelled train, live music on weekends, a petting zoo, horse rides, and a craft fair. K1 Speed on the north side handles the rainy-Saturday and birthday-party demand with a professionally designed indoor track and high-performance electric karts along with arcade games and private event spaces. Downtown, the Historic Downtown corridor around 6th Street and Main keeps its own tempo, anchored by places longtime residents recognize by shorthand rather than signage.
None of these anchors changed this year. What changed is the density of reasons to stay south of the 91 on a weekend that used to end at the Orange County line.
A resident's August shortlist

- Pick one amphitheater night that fits your household. If you prefer a walk-up feel, aim for the August 1 tribute rather than the two Trace Adkins dates.
